Meet the Team
At Portobello Institute we share a common commitment to quality, a structured approach to learning and a focus on industry links as well as care for the individual learners.
Our academic team along with programme managers and teaching staff are the heart of the college who inspire and support our students on a daily basis and throughout their educational journey with us. To ensure full relevant support for every learner we have a programme manager in place for every department. All with significant experience within their sector we are delighted to show just some of our dedicated team.
Catherine Cross has been a dedicated beauty tutor with Portobello Institute since 1999. She first trained in massage in the UK and has been working in the beauty industry for over twenty years she brings a wealth of experience to our students.
Debbie enjoys every term being a new challenge, in the learners, their different personalities and cultures and being part of their education journey starting at the very basics to graduates going on to work for exclusive makeup counters including MAC and Inglot.
Fiona has been devoted over 22 years at Portobello Institute training beauty students through their education guiding and inspiring trainee students through their practical and theoretical skills. Fiona was the very first employee in the beauty department and helped set up the beauty department and is heavily involved in the department to this day. She teaches the trainee students to be well presented, articulate and capable beauty therapists with the ability to provide the necessary customer care and service required to ensure overall client satisfaction.
Alongside tutoring in Portobello Lorraine successfully runs her own salon in Kildare. Her approach to learning is a gentle yet assertive approach, fully believing in the college ethos that develops students into industry ready professionals at beginning of a career or indeed those upskilling along the way.
