Ryan Kemp, One Year on

Business Management as a pre-university course.

Ryan found his passion for the law while studying Business Management at Portobello, he subsequently undertook a law degree and is preparing to become a solicitor.

Ryan Kemp recently graduated from Griffith College, Dublin with a 2.1 Honours Law Degree and is currently preparing to undertake The Law Society exams to qualify as a solicitor.

His course at Portobello introduced him to a range of subjects and sparked his interest in the law.  Armed with the knowledge from his law modules at Portobello, he was at a distinct advantage when he entered the law degree.

As a pre-university course, Ryan found the time he spent in Portobello to be an excellent learning experience. He points out that “ at Portobello you really felt like an individual and not just a number.”   He felt that the small classes helped him to engage better with the course and the individual modules. He also notes that the tutor support was outstanding, “They were there almost 24/7 to assist with assignments, exam prep and any questions I had. Without this, I wouldn't be where I am today”.

But he is not stopping there … his business acumen was well developed while at Portobello. Ryan is starting a business called Irish Legal Resources to assist law students with easy access to materials at an affordable price. In addition, he has also started a podcast on all things legal, called Legally Sound which discusses life as a law student and how to prepare for law school. It will be released in October 2019?.
