We are absolutely delighted to have caught up with business graduate Ryan Kemp and to share his one year on success story. We are so proud to see how much he has achieved since completing the one year business course at Portobello Institute.
Ryan is past business management student of Portobello who has always had a true passion for business and law subjects. While completing the business course what was important for him were the small classes provided by the college which he found to be of great benefit for his academic development.
“ At Portobello you really felt like an individual and not just a number.” Small classes also helped Ryan to engage better with the course and the individual modules.
For him the tutor support was outstanding where they helped with any problems, while providing ongoing support, “They were there almost 24/7 to assist with assignments, exam prep and any questions I had. Without this, I wouldn't be where I am today”.
Ryan has just graduated from Griffith College Dublin with a 2.1 Honours Law Degree and is currently preparing to undertake the FE1's and ultimately qualify as a solicitor.
In addition to his commitment to furthering his dream Ryan is also developing a business to assist law students with easy access to materials at an affordable price. The company is called Irish Legal Resources and is an outcome of studying both the business certificate and law degree.
Ryan has also started a podcast on all things legal called 'Legally Sound' which discusses life as a law student and how to prepare for law school. This is scheduled to release at the start of October.
This inspirational story confirms that pre-university courses are continuing to show their true value in making education accessible to everyone and dreams come true.
