The Dublin Adult Learning Centre is seeking applications for the position of Crèche Manager (Maternity Cover) 30 Hours per week

Job Description

To support and supervise all staff who work in the Crèche including organising rota.

To ensure that the precise needs of all children are met by developing individual programmes for all children.

To design and maintain appropriate administration systems.

To develop and implement policies and procedures for the crèche and review and update these when necessary.

Familiarity with returns for Child Care Initiatives

Previous experience of crèche management and a minimum qualification at QQI Level 7/8 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent is essential.


€2,172.00 per month 30 hours per week

Service profile

DALC Little Learners Crèche is a community not for profit organisation based in Dublin’s North Inner City, offering a play based curriculum incorporating Aistear, the National Curriculum.We provide affordable quality Childcare to children whose parents attend basic adult education classes in the Dublin Adult Learning Centre (DALC); we also have some crèche places for people who are on C.E schemes in other centres and children in the local area.

 We currently cater for 18 children on a part time basis from 1 year to 4 years of age between 8:45a.m to 1:45p.m Monday to Friday. We operate an open door policy and parents are welcome to visit at any time during the day.

We are a fully catered for crèche, with all our meals prepared and delivered by Little Dinners.

Our staff are fully qualified and experienced in childcare. We believe in a warm, open, happy atmosphere for children their parents and the staff who care for them. Children’s individual abilities and creativity is nurtured in a safe developmentally appropriate environment. We value all children and their parents equally regardless of race, religion, gender or ability.
