The Energy and Sustainability in FM Award has been developed and awarded by The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), the professional body for facilities management. The BIFM qualifications have been developed through corresponding with key stakeholders, to develop qualifications which meet the needs of individuals working in the FM sector.

This course is delivered over part-time study
Module 1: Overview of FM
This module enables learners to develop an understanding of the scope and extent of the facilities management function. Learners identify the range of associated services, the roles and responsibilities of FM in different organisations.
Module 2: Sustainability and environmental within FM
Sustainability and environmental within FM assists learners to develop their understanding how facilities management can promote corporate responsibility and sustain within the organisation. The unit also develops understanding of the principles and methods of waste management
Module 3: Energy and utilities management and FM
This module assists learners to develop their understanding of energy and utilities management principles. Implementing processes and monitoring systems and energy and utilities management policy

Block release: Programme delivered over 3 Saturdays and one Wednesday evening.
