Taping & Strapping - 5 Day Course
The main aim of the ITEC Level 3 Award in Taping and Strapping for Sport and Active Leisure is to enable learners to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide taping and strapping for the Sport and Active Leisure Industry. It has been designed for practitioners currently working in sport and active leisure, including osteopaths, physiotherapists, sports therapists and massage therapists. The purpose of this specialist Taping and Strapping qualification is to enrich practitioners understanding of taping and strapping techniques relevant to general support and to limit specific movement. It will provide learners with techniques to facilitate taping and strapping techniques.

Entry requirements
Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. Students should hold ILM Level 3 sports massage qualification or similar. Please contact the sports course director for further details.

- Lateral Ankle Sprain
- Achilles Tendon off-load
- McConnell’s Taping for Patella-Femoral (Anterior Knee) Pain
- Patellar Tendon off-load
- Lateral Co-lateral and Medial Co-lateral taping for the knee
- Shoulder instability and A/C Joint Strapping
- Lateral Co-lateral and Medial Co-lateral taping for the elbow
- Elbow hyperextension strapping
- Wrist strapping
- Thumb strapping
- Buddy taping for the fingers
