Sports Therapy Full time

The Sports Therapy course focuses on three main areas:

Understanding and preventing sports injuries
Dealing with the effects of physical and emotional trauma surrounding sports injuries and
The clinical process of returning athletes to peak fitness in the relevant sport.

Portobello Institute's newly revised and updated Sports Therapy course gives learners the opportunity to acquire the practical and technical knowledge necessary to deal with these three main areas of concern and pursue a career or further education in this area.

The Sports Therapy course is primarily a practical course with the majority of your day spent practising the skills required to be a successful sports therapist in the college's therapy rooms.

Portobello Institute Diploma in Sports Therapies
ITEC Diploma in Sports Massage (Level 3 & 4)
FETAC Level 6 Component Certificate in Sports Nutrition
FETAC Level 5 Component Certificate in Kinesiology
FETAC Level 5 Component Certificate in Physiotherapy Theory
FETAC Level 5 Component Certificate in Physiotherapy Practice

Entry requirement

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. Acceptance to Full Time courses is interview based, there are no specific points requirements.
