Personal Trainer Part time

The Personal Trainer Certificate course builds on the Gym Instructor course taking a more in-depth look at functional anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, nutrition and also exercise prescription. This course enables candidates to provide clients with personalised training programmes/sessions for their needs to improve overall fitness including strenght, flexibility and cardio-respiratory funciton as well as detailed lifestyle advice to maintain all aspects of their health, fitness and well being.

• ITEC Diploma in Personal Trainer

Entry requirements

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. Students must have previously studied the Gym Instructor Certificate course prior to starting this course. However, students can choose to study both courses at the same time for a significant discount. See Special Offers for details.

Course structure

This is a part time course delivered over 13 weekends.

Course content modules

1. Personal Training including physical fitness, the role of a personal trainer, health and safety associated with training and have the ability to understand, demonstrate, explain and communicate the teaching techniques and the objectives of the exercise session.

3. Anatomy & Physiology for Personal Trainers Level 3
