ITEC created this Make Up course for those working in salons, chemists or for those seeking a qualification to complement a beauty qualification.
You will learn skin analysis and care, how to even out skin tone, correct face, lip and eye shapes.
This comprehensive Make Up course is designed to help you develop your own personal creative style in makeup application. You may choose not to sit the ITEC examinations and as all materials are supplied during the class, purchasing a Student Kit is optional. You will however be required to purchase a set of makeup brushes.

Entry requirement:
Portobello Institute does not place any formal previous academic requirements on candidates for this course.
Candidates are welcome to speak to the course co-ordinator to help them decide if this course is suited to them. All courses are suitable for students of all ages. There is a lower age limit of 17 years and there are no upper age limits.
Course structure:
This course is delivered over a 16 weeks, one evening a week, or alternatively you can study this course over 8 full days.

The Skin-Analysis including care, maintenance, conditions and treatments, corrective camouflage.
- Face/Eye/Nose/Lip shapes.
- Skin Tones-contour & highlighting.
- Make-Up Trends & Kits.
- Colour Theory.
- Basic Lighting.
- Hygiene-Sterilisation & Best Practice.
- Facial Make Up Tips, techniques & demonstrations.
- Practical & theory work, case studies.
- Cosmetic Science.
Student kit:
Materials are provided during the class so the purchase of a student kit is optional.
