From manufacturing companies to service organisations there is a need for Business Management Leaders across the globe.
This course is designed to provide the students with an in depth understanding of the role and function of management in the business environment and offers the opportunity to develop effective management skills. While the theoretical aspects of business management are taught, the focus is on the practical
application of these principles. Projects are used to allow students to demonstrate their ability to relate what they have
learned to the real world. In the Business Planning module students will explore a possible business idea , they will develop
the skills, competencies and knowledge required to carry out a detailed investigation of their proposed idea, assess its viability
and potential in setting up a business. In addition, students will explore the main elements of law that impact on business. They will gain an understanding of Finance and the importance of cost
control and budgets in an organisation and gain an insight into the principles of corporate governance. Students will be given the opportunity to enhance their competence in all forms of communication and appreciate the need for ongoing professional development.

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. Acceptance to Full Time courses is interview-based. There is
no specific points requirement.
