Survival in an ever changing world means businesses must constantly be innovative and create new opportunities
to sustain their position in the marketplace. Whether this innovation be in creating new products or new markets, it requires creative individuals who research, plan and implement a
well thought out development strategy.
This programme aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to become business development professionals. Students will gain an in depth understanding of the role and function of management in the business environment, and to develop effective management skills. They will develop their research and communication skills in a business context.
Students will develop the skills to screen and develop a enterprise idea. They will learn how to build, implement and
maintain a Business & Marketing Plan, the cornerstones for a new enterprise venture.
Students will explore a possible business idea and develop the skills, competencies and knowledge required to carry out a detailed investigation of their proposed idea, assess its viability and potential in setting up a business. They will engage in self-directed learning by critically evaluating their own work and that of others and have substantial personal autonomy in organising and presenting their work.
