It is the role of the Facility Management department to coordinate and oversee the safe, secure, and environmentally sound operations and maintenance of these assets in a cost effective manner aimed at long-term preservation of the asset value.
To date, having a sound environmental policy was not a high priority of many organisations, however, with public interest concentrated towards it; busineses have been forced to respond in kind and today a good environmental performance saves money and enhances company image. With this increase in corporate social responsibility in environmental policies the role of the facilities manager now extends to that of environmental
management.
This intensive full time course is a must for anyone wishing to pursue a career in Facilities Management and/or Environmental Management.
