Managing facilities Management Strategy and Projects provides the learner with the skills necessary to assemble and manage facilities management teams and to strategically undertake projects from planning, through monitoring and reporting to completion and review.

This BIFM Award consists of 2 modules:

Managing facilities management projects

At the end of this module learners will be able to:
plan facilities management projects
prepare, manage and monitor project briefs
manage a facilities management project budget
assemble and manage facilities management project teams
manage project completion, sign-off and review

Organisational and facilities management strategy

At the end of this module learners will be able to:
Understand how organisations develop and review their business strategy
Understand approaches to developing facilities management strategies
Be able to develop and implement a facilities management strategy
review and identify the need to change the facilities management strategy
Be able to communicate the facilities management strategy effectively

Assessment Criteria

Practical assessment tasks that are work-based, reflecting live business projects are the core assessment techniques used for this qualification.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 5 years experience in Facilities Management required to gain entry to this programme

Award: BIFM Level 5 Award in Facilities Management
