Visual Display - 3 Day Course

The Visual Display 3 day course is ideal for those who want to develop a career in this area as it introduces the learner to the basic elements required to create eye catching retail displays.

Creating an attractive Visual Display is paramount in retail to draw the customer in, promote a slow-moving item, announce a sale, or welcome a season. It is the role of a visual merchandiser to produce engaging displays both in-store and in the windows delivering the right message to the customer.

Entry requirement

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. There are no previous academic requirements.

Course structure

This is a 3 day course.

1. Day 1 - Principles of Display and Merchandising
2. Day 2 - Production of window scheme
3. Day 3 - Installation of summer window display

• A3/A2 Sketch Pad
• Pencil
• Rubber
• Coloured pencils
• Staple gun & staples
• Scissors
• A selection of summer clothes
• Accessories for summer styling camera
