This short intensive Creative Hair Styling course equips the learner to develop safe and hygienic work practices while understanding the principles of creative hair styling. On completion learners will be able to demonstrate fashion hair styling to include directional roller setting, blow-drying and creative hair up-styling techniques.  Learners will also explore working with wigs, hair pieces and extensions from securing to setting in various styles.

By tracking and analysing market trends it is their job to recommend to their employers the next direction to take in line with upcoming style shifts. As a fashion buyer your job will be to attend shows held in the fashion capitals of the world, forecast trends, buy the right clothes at the right time, whilst at the same time always ensuring profits and growth for the company.

The part time Fashion Design course introduces the principles of the fashion design process from concept to the finished product. Students will explore visual research, developing ideas into creative and innovative fashion designs.

The Advanced fashion design course is a follow on course for students that have completed the Fashion Design course or who have had previous experience in fashion. It is a project based course exploring deconstruction techniques, and developing design ideas by working with actual garments.

This Garment Construction course will allow students to gain skills in the practical element of garment assembly through knowledge of fabric, cutting and stitching.

This Advanced Garment Construction course will allow students to gain advanced skills in garment construction and assembly including cutting and stitching. This class will cover advanced garment construction and finishing skills. Students will be responsible to sew a variety of samples including zippers, button holes,pockets as well as sew two garments to high finishing standards. Students will learn how to manipulate patterns and gain extensive knowledge in advanced finishing techniques. Please note, intermediate sewing skills are necessary. This is not a beginners course.

The pattern drafting course will teach students how to draft basic bodice and skirt blocks. Students will also learn how to manipulate their patterns to a specific design model. This course will also involve sewing as students will construct their basic blocks and learn proper fitting techniques. Please note, basic sewing skills are necessary. Previous drafting experience is not necessary.

This is an intensive millinery design course aimed at beginners to intermediate students. It is a thorough introduction to the process of blocking felt using traditional millinery techniques and equipment. Participants are expected to produce one hat finished to a professional standard.

Milliners design and create hats, they work with a wide variety of materials from straw and paper to velvets and silks. Millinery is a highly skilled craft requiring a steady hand, attention to detail and precise working. The work of the Milliner extends to other forms of fashionable head wear. The Milliner needs to have a good knowledge of fashion trends and an excellent understanding of fabrics, design and shape is also important.
