The Retrofitting Buildings for Energy Efficiency course is designed to make the learner aware of the growing environmental issues in the building industry. This course provides both theoretical and practical training for Energy Efficiency. The environmental impact of buildings will be assessed including passive design, Building Energy Rating (BER) of dwellings, sustainable energy and sustainable green solutions.

The Retrofitting course is invaluable to anybody working in the construction or hoping to work in the construction industry.

  • FETAC Level 5 Component Certificate in Renewable Energy Systems

Entry requirement

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. There are no previous academic requirements.

    1. External and internal insulation
    2. Energy efficient windows and door
    3. Air conditioning with heat recovery
    4. Heating technologies with renewable energies
