The Facilities Management Higher Diploma Course is aimed at Facilities Managers with existing supervisory experience seeking to learn of the more strategic and specialized functions in the Facilities Management environment.
Achievement of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Level 5 Diploma reflects the ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to address broadly defined complex problems.
It includes taking responsibility for planning and developing courses of action as well as exercising autonomy and judgement within broad parameters. It also reflects understanding of different perspectives, approaches or schools of thought and the reasoning behind them.
The Higher Diploma course in Facilities Management reflects a strategic business discipline and aims to:

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. A minimum of a Portobello Institute Certificate in Facilities Management (or equivalent) or 2 years experience at Facilities Management supervisory level is required.
