RTE reported on the six o clock news last friday evening the difficult situation that the governments implementation mid year of the free preschool year is having on many childcare establishments. The report highlighted how many parents are holding off sending their children to preschool until the free scheme is in operation leaving many vacancies in preschools around the country.
