Portobello Institute is delighted to welcome Fashion Consultant Eddie Shanahan on Friday 26th March from 10 -12 noon. Eddie will deliver a guest lecture to our fashion buying and merchandising and fashion marketing students titled ‘Fashion Alchemy’ focusing on the key issues in the development and marketing of a fashion brand. Eddie has worked on fashion projects with Irish and international designers and has delivered fashion and branding seminars for Enterprise Ireland. He has wored on retail projects with one of Irelands leading banks and with several major Irish retailers. He was director of merchandising and marketing at Arnotts department store for over 9 years and works in new product development for several County Enterprise Boards in Ireland. He is expert in the fashion and homeward collection development, retail management and branding and image development.
