The Glen Group summer camp looking for volunteers

The Glen Group, an organisation based in Balinteer Dublin are a group who organise summer camps for Teens/Adults with physical and intellectual disabilities and they kindly took time out to come into the college to deliver a guest lecture to our Special Needs and Health Education students.  They chatted in detail to our students about the opportunities of volunteering for the group and the great work that they have carried out over the years

Each year they run a summer camp and this year the camp will take place from 9th to 20th July at St Johns GAA.  The camp offers a number of activites ranging from horse riding, sea safari, arts & crafts and absailing.  In addition to these activities the group organise nights out to concerts throughout the week.

Now in its 11th Year the group has received tremendous feedback and indeed suppport over the years.  This summer they are looking for volunteers to work over the two week period.  They are looking for enthusiastic people who are interested in workig and gaining interest with Adults with Special Needs.
