Maurice Knightly Customer Services expert

Maurice Knightly BSc (Mgmt) delivered a guest lecture to the Retail Travel Agency Practice students this week on "Developing Key Performance Indicators for Excellent Customer Service".  Maurice had an abundance of experience and knowledge to pass on to our students.  After studying Business and Hospitality at D.I.T (Cathal Brugha Street) Maurice spent his early career working in management positions in 5 Star Hotels in Ireland, the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia.  Returning to Ireland in 1994 he joined the fledgling O'Briens Irish Sandwich Bars organisation.  He was instrumental in the development of the franchised cafe chain, serving as Operations and Training Director.  During this time with O'Briens the company grew from 2 to almost 300 stores in 8 countries. Throughout 25 years of business activity Maurice has formed close and lasting links with a variety of individuals, businesses and charitable organisations.  He has served on boards of management, steering committees and interview panels and been involved in many networking groups.
