The Irish Society for the Prevention of cruelty to children delivered a guest lecture to the Montessori students on child protection and the work that the charity carries out. The charity which was founded in 1889 is Irelands oldest and most well-known children's charity. It has a long, proud history of service delivery and advocacy on behalf of children. There 3 main purposes are to ensure all children are given the chance to feel love and happiness, to stop discrimination and exclusion of children and to end cruelty and injustice to children.
