Waxing is an advanced beauty therapy skill which is in demand in today's beauty salons and is a specialised skillset to promote your salon career.

Beauty salons not only need to provide their clients with advanced waxing treatments, they have also opened their doors to men and are offering them specialised treatments too.

While experience & further training is a must before you can perform the advanced wax treatments, this waxing course will give you both the skills and a recognised certification upon which to build a career as a skilled wax therapist.

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. There are no previous academic requirements.

This part time course is delivered over 4 weekends.

1. How to perform wax treatments on the underarm, bikini, full leg, chin, forearms, eyebrow & lips using:
   1. sugaring
   2. hot & cold wax
2. Check for contra-indications
3. Professional ethics
4. First Aid and Salon Safety
5. Hygiene and Sterilisation
6. Client Handling
7. Business studies
8. Understand the functions and structure of the skin
9. Understand the structure of hair
10. Understand the endocrine system
11. Recognise the signs and symptoms of skin cancer
