The Beauty Specialist Certificate course is an excellent way to build the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to start a career as a Beautician. This course will prepare you for working in a Beauty Salon or opening your own Salon. As well as learning all about how the Beauty business works, you will learn about a wide range of beauty products, equipment and treatments. You will specialise in facials, skin care and eye treatments.

Successful graduates of this course can continue their training with our ITEC Beauty Specialist Diploma where you will add to your treatments by learning make up, waxing, manicure & pedicure as well as business.

Many Beauty Specialist graduates also choose to progress their careers by doing the Complementary Therapies course where they specialise in Holistic therapies such as massage, aromatherapy and reflexology.

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. There are no previous academic requirements.

Course structure

This course runs on a part-time basis over 32 weeks and also as a day release course over 16 days; 2 study sessions per day.
