As our Fashion students come to the end of their Fashion Buying & Merchandising course they are starting to reflect on the year, their experiences to date and what area of the industry they would like to progress on to so it was with great pleasure we welcomed iconic fashion stylist Constance Harris at the college today to speak with our students about her journey through the competitive yet rewarding fast paced industry.

Constance started out her fashion career as a runner for photo shoots which gave her a real insight into what happens on the day of a shoot from the photographers role through to styling, hair and make up.  Armed with knowledge and bursting with ideas she styled her first shoot for Image magazine in 1986.   A short stint in New York followed but Constance favoured Irish shores and took up a role at The Independent  in 1997 and hasn't looked back since.  With over 25 years of experience who better to have speak to our student than the Fashion Editor of the Independent.  Constance was extremely hands on with our students today. They were bursting with questions about the industry.  Our students embraced her stories of her best and worst photo shoots over the years, the ups and downs, all the while getting some hot tips from the expert on styling and make up for this season.
