We are always delighted to hear our students have been successful in securing jobs in their chosen sector.  Three of our Fashion Buying and Merchandising students have recently landed their dream job with highstreet retailers Pennys and Elvery Sports.

Eibhlinn Fahey completed the Fashion Buying and Merchandising course at the end of 2010.  Eibhlinn was a very dedicated student and her tutors saw and recognised her ambition and drive appointing her Fashion student of the year at the 2010 Graduation.  Eibhlinn has successfully been appointed as Trainee Fashion Buyer with fast fashion favourites Pennys.

Trudy Lyons who also completed the Fashion Buying and Merchandising course in 2010 has also been successful in securing a role with Pennys.  Trudy recently started a role as Accessories Buyer. Previous to this Trudy has been a buyer at Fran and Jane.  The skills acquired at Portobello Institute assisted her in securing her role with Pennys..

Jonathan Cushen completed the Fashion Buying and Merchandising course in May 2011 and he was extremely fortunate to secure a role with Elvery Sports the same week where he is now working as an Assistant Buyer.  Throughout his time spent at Portobello Institute Jonathan shone and proved he has a great eye for style and trends.  The college work tirelessly building and strengthening contacts within Retail.  Currently Portobello Institute are working with Louis Copeland where our students were given the opportunity to design a window display for the Capel street store and Louis and his team selected Jonathans work as the winning display.

Best of luck to all three in their new roles and we hope that you continue to thrive within Fashion retail.
