Our full time students were fortunate to work at the recent Dscoop conference held at the Convention Centre Dublin.  Hosting over the 4 days and ensuring the event ran smoothly and all attendee's were catered for, our students also had the opportunity to sit in on the various talks delivered over the course of the conference.  Key note speakers included Andrew Davis, Marketing speaker and best selling author, Mark Stevenson, Entrepreneur, Author, Broadcaster and expert on global trends and innovation and Alan Bar-Shanly, Vice Principle and General Manager of HP Indigo Digital Press Division.

A Touch of Ireland has been working closely over the last few years with Portobello Institute in sourcing staff as host/hostesses at conferences.  Una Miley from A Touch of Ireland says "We find Portobello Institute students to be particularly well suited to the work since they are all studying tourism/airline / sports management courses.   The college give us great support in training and briefing the students. The students who worked at Dscoop were friendly, helpful and hard working.  Each and everyone of them was punctual and well turned out and everyone complimented us on their attitude. They really did the college proud and we hope that we see them working for us again at a later stage on a similar event if it suits their schedules".
