Portobello Institute's make-up students are delighted to be part of the upcoming Cradle charity fashion show which is part of the ever popular Dublin Festival of Fashion.  Taking place on 13th September at the Balsbridge Hotel the event will be a showcase of innovative designs from emerging talented Irish designers which will all compete to win the Cradle Designer title. The collections presented on the night will focus on the "Futuristic" theme and given the sketches submitted to date the show promises to be spectacular and inspiring for young Irish talent.

The designers collections will be at the hands of key influential fashion players as the judging panel includes Clyde Carroll, Director of DFF, Claire Garvey, Fashion Designer, iconic artist Jim Fitspatrick and Flawess owner Samson Ogunshe.  The winner will be awarded the "Cradle Fashion Awar"d and will have an amazing opportunity to have their designs featured in Flawless magazine.  All proceeds from the show go towards the charity Cradle which supports disadvantaged children in Ireland and the Philippines.

Following on from last years successful event this year promises to be even better.  Once all the looks have been submitted the Portobello MUA team, led by head tutor Michelle Burke will start to create the make-up looks for the show and Michelle has already started to work on some dramatic body painting looks that will mirror the eye catching design, all in all this event is leading up to be a great platform for Irish creativity across the board.

Portobello are excited to be part of this event and proud to support such a great charity, so if you want to help out a great cause and love your fashion then make sure to get your tickets here.
