Alban undertook the Special Needs level 5 course at Portobello Institute as a positive addition to his current skillset and to essentially open up new opportunities for him. He has been a trainer facilitator for more than 12 years delivering soft skill education and life coaching in IBM. He holds a degree in psychology, an ACC diploma of coaching from ICF, along with other significant training courses.

Alban completed the level 5 course in Portobello Institute in the summer of 2017. “Overall, I found the course to be extremely informative and it really helped me to understand the role of a special needs assistant.”

He felt the course content was extremely relevant to the subject matter of special needs. “For me I undertook the course for the purpose of learning specifically about the role of the SNA and this is what I achieved”.

He is confident that he can put all theory and skills learned in class into practice and feels very comfortable in doing so. “I am looking forward to putting all of this into practice next week in one of the schools in Blanchardstown.”

Alban would absolutely recommend the Special Needs Assisting level 5 course at Portobello Institute. “It is a very insightful course not only for the role of an SNA but also for anyone working with children including parents.”

“The college support has been outstanding and I would recommend Portobello Institute to anyone.”

Future plans for Alban look really exciting with a plan to come back to Portobello Institute to continue his studies with an overall aim to work as a facilitator in this area.
